Ranchi, September 5, 2026: DAV Nandraj Public School celebrated Teachers’ Day with great enthusiasm, warmth and gratitude, honouring the invaluable contribution of teachers in shaping young minds and society. The celebration also paid tribute to the great educationist and former President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, whose birth anniversary is observed as Teachers’ Day.
The day began with a solemn Havan ceremony, in which all the teachers of the school participated. The sacred ceremony created an atmosphere of peace and positivity, as the teachers offered prayers and paid tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
The celebrations continued with a colourful and entertaining programme presented by the students. The students expressed their love and gratitude towards their teachers through melodious songs, an engaging skit, fun-filled games and entertaining activities. The teachers enthusiastically participated in the games and enjoyed several delightful moments together.
Adding to the festive spirit, the school’s WAVES Music Band presented a beautiful musical performance. The lively music and energetic presentation created an atmosphere of celebration and brought immense joy to everyone present.
As a token of appreciation and affection, gifts were distributed among the teachers, acknowledging their dedication, commitment and tireless efforts in nurturing and guiding students.
A particularly meaningful highlight of the celebration was the teachers’ contribution towards environmental sustainability. The teachers collectively gifted 100 pots along with seeds for 100 saplings. The initiative symbolised the teachers’ commitment to nurturing both young minds and the environment, giving a beautiful message of growth, care and responsibility.
Shri Prem Prakash Arya, President, School Managing Committee, and Shri Ajay Arya, Member, School Managing Committee, graced the occasion with their presence. They extended their blessings, warm wishes and heartfelt appreciation to all the teachers for their dedication and significant contribution towards the holistic development of students. Their encouraging words added to the spirit of the celebration and inspired the teachers to continue their valuable work with renewed enthusiasm and commitment.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Dr. Ravi Prakash Tiwary shared an inspiring message with the teachers. He emphasised the importance of continuous learning, active participation and meaningful contribution to school activities. He highlighted that the needs and expectations of today’s children and students are very different from those of the past. Therefore, teachers need to continuously update themselves, understand the changing needs of learners and prepare themselves every day to make classroom teaching more effective and meaningful.
He encouraged every teacher to remain a lifelong learner and actively contribute towards the development of the school and its students.
The celebration concluded on a joyful and inspiring note, leaving everyone with a renewed sense of appreciation for the teaching profession and a commitment to keep learning, keep contributing and keep nurturing the future generation.
