August 8th 2026: A special two-day Eye Health Camp was organised at DAV Nandraj Public School, Ranchi, in association with Ranchi Life Care Hospital, on the initiative of Dr. Hemlata Bharti. The programme aimed to promote awareness about eye care, preventive healthcare, and healthy lifestyle practices among students.
As part of the initiative, Dr. Hemlata Bharti conducted an informative and interactive session for the students of Classes XI and XII.
During the session, Dr. Bharti highlighted the importance of regular health and eye check-up, a balanced and nutritious diet, proper screen time, adequate sleep, regular physical exercise, and maintaining a healthy daily routine. She particularly drew students’ attention to the adverse effects of excessive screen exposure and encouraged them to adopt responsible digital habits. She advised them to take regular breaks while using digital devices and maintain a healthy balance between screen time and physical activities.
The medical team from Ranchi Life Care Hospital carried out eye check-up for all the students of Classes XI and XII and provided valuable guidance on eye health, preventive care, and the importance of timely medical consultation.
The initiative was appreciated by the school management. Principal Dr. Ravi Prakash Tiwary appreciated the initiative and emphasised the importance of eye check-up and healthcare for students. He highlighted that good health is the foundation of meaningful learning and overall development. He also expressed his gratitude to Dr. Hemlata Bharti and the entire team for their valuable contribution towards promoting health awareness and providing eye check-up to the students.
The two-day initiative proved to be highly informative and beneficial for the students, providing them with valuable insights into eye care, healthy living and responsible screen usage. The programme reaffirmed the school’s commitment to the holistic development, health, and well-being of its students.
