A special seminar on the National Defence Academy (NDA) was organised for the students of Class XII at DAV Nandraj Public School, Bariatu, Ranchi, with the objective of familiarising students with career opportunities in the Indian Armed Forces.
The session was conducted by Mr. Vinod Kumar, a retired Air Force Officer, who served the Indian Air Force for more than 20 years. Drawing upon his rich experience and expertise, he guided the students about the NDA examination, its selection process, preparation strategies and the wide range of career opportunities available through the prestigious examination.
Mr. Vinod Kumar highlighted that students from Science, Commerce and Arts streams can aspire to appear for the NDA examination, making it an excellent career pathway for students with diverse academic backgrounds. He explained various practical methods of preparation, time-management techniques and approaches that can help students confidently prepare for the examination.
The session was highly interactive, with students actively participating in the discussion and putting forward their queries regarding eligibility, examination preparation, career prospects and life in the Armed Forces. The resource person addressed their questions and encouraged them to consider the NDA as an opportunity to build a disciplined, challenging and purposeful career.
The session also carried an important message from Principal Dr. Ravi Prakash Tiwary, who emphasised that such training and orientation programmes open new avenues for students by exposing them to diverse career opportunities beyond conventional academic pathways. He encouraged students to make informed choices, recognise their potential and take advantage of such platforms for their overall development.
The programme concluded on an inspiring note, leaving students motivated to explore the NDA and the opportunities it offers in the service of the nation.
