Ranchi, August 14:
On the eve of Independence Day, DAV Nandraj Public School, Ranchi, witnessed a vibrant and meaningful celebration of creativity, learning and patriotism as young learners participated in a unique grain-art activity dedicated to the spirit of India.
Adding a creative touch to the Independence Day celebrations, the students transformed everyday dal and rice grains into colourful artistic representations of the map of India and the National Tricolour. The activity provided the children with an engaging opportunity to express their love for the nation while exploring the joy of learning through art and hands-on participation.
With great enthusiasm, the little patriots carefully arranged grains to create beautiful patterns inspired by the saffron, white and green colours of the Tricolour. What appeared to be simple grains became, in the hands of the young learners, a powerful expression of national pride and affection for their motherland.
The activity beautifully combined creativity, experiential learning and patriotic values. It encouraged students to appreciate the significance of Independence Day while developing their imagination, concentration, coordination and artistic skills. More importantly, it helped instil in them a sense of belonging, respect and pride towards the nation from an early age.
The colourful creations reflected the message that patriotism can be expressed in many forms—even through the simplest of materials. Each grain placed by the students symbolised their affection for India, making the activity both educational and emotionally enriching.
The celebration at DAV Nandraj Public School, Ranchi, thus became a memorable reminder that India’s spirit lives not only in grand celebrations but also in the innocent creativity and heartfelt enthusiasm of its children.
As the nation prepares to celebrate its Independence Day, the young learners of DAV Nandraj Public School have beautifully conveyed a simple yet powerful message:
The school community extended warm wishes for a Happy Independence Day and reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing responsible, creative and patriotic young citizens who will contribute positively to the nation’s future.
