The 4th In-House Capacity Building Program Held at DAV Nandraj Public School, Bariatu

The 4th In-House Capacity Building Program was successfully conducted at DAV Nandraj Public School, Bariatu, Ranchi, on 12th June 2026 on the thought-provoking topic “Educating Parents for Education.” The program focused on the crucial role of parental awareness, involvement, and collaboration in ensuring the holistic development and academic success of children.

The session was facilitated by the esteemed resource persons, Mr. Aniket Mishra and Ms. Anamika Shukla, who shared valuable insights on strengthening the partnership between schools and parents. Through engaging discussions, practical examples, and interactive activities, they emphasized the need to educate and empower parents so that they can actively participate in the educational journey of their children.

More than 140 teachers from all the schools functioning under the aegis of Arya Gyan Prachar Samiti (AGPS) participated enthusiastically in the training program. Their active involvement, collaborative discussions, and exchange of ideas made the session highly interactive, meaningful, and impactful.

The resource persons highlighted various aspects of parental engagement, including effective communication between teachers and parents, building trust and mutual understanding, creating a conducive learning environment at home, and encouraging parents to become active stakeholders in their children’s education. They also discussed innovative ways through which schools can involve parents in academic and co-curricular activities to foster a strong support system for students.

A special highlight of the program was the insightful address by Mrs. Jhumpa Singh, Headmistress, DAV Nandraj Modern School, Lalpur. Through an engaging activity and her rich professional experience, she familiarized the participants with the significance of collaborative decision-making involving parents and educators. She emphasized that in the rapidly evolving educational landscape, teachers must understand and appreciate the vital role of parents in shaping students’ learning experiences and overall development. Her session encouraged educators to build stronger partnerships with families for better educational outcomes.

The program was also graced by the presence of the Principal of Mahatma N.D. Grover Public School, Bundu, whose participation added prestige to the event and reflected the collective commitment of educational institutions towards professional growth and excellence in education.

The training program proved to be highly enriching and informative for all participants. It provided an excellent platform for reflection, learning, and the exchange of best practices, reinforcing the belief that quality education is a shared responsibility that thrives through the combined efforts of teachers, students, and parents.
