World Earth Day was celebrated in DAV Nandraj Public School, Bariatu to cultivate a sense of responsibility in students towards Mother Earth. A myriad activities such as poster making, painting competition, essay writing competition and skit were held on the occasion.
The day began with a plantation drive. Students of Classes III to V planted various plants and took an oath to protect the environment. Students of Classes VI-VIII prepared vivid posters to spread awareness towards protection of heritage sites. Students of Classes IX and X wrote cogent essay on the occasion.
Students of Classes VI-VIII poured out their concern towards the deteriorating conditions of the earth through their brilliant performance in skit. Praising the efforts of the students, the Principal, Mr. Ravi Prakash Tiwary, said that we should thank the Mother Earth for its bountiful gifts and strive to safeguard the blue planet.
