Teacher’s Day Celebration.

It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge. Every year Teacher’s Day is celebrated on 5th September throughout the country. The day marks the birth anniversary of Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, the second president of India and a great academic philosopher, scholar and diplomat.

This day was celebrated with joy and fervour in DAV Nandraj Public School. A special assembly was conducted by students in which they acknowledged the hard work of teachers for the development of students. They indicated that teachers play a vital role in making their pupil accountable citizens of tomorrow and wonderful human being.

The assembly was followed by normal classes but were taken by members of student cabinet and volunteers. Shortly after dispersal, a cultural show began in Aula Magna. A floral tribute was first paid to Dr. S. Radhakrishnan. Students performed a scintillating cultural show to denote their love and respect towards the teachers. The cultural show incorporated poems, songs, dance and skit.

They also entertained teachers by arranging fun games for them. Addressing the gathering, the Vice Principal, Mrs. Roma Biswas said that the true asset of a teacher is his students for whom he invests his life.

The Principal, Mr. Ravi Prakash Tiwary, in his speech threw light on the significance of the day. He also extended his heartiest thanks to all students on behalf of the school staff.

All teachers enjoyed and appreciated the program and the efforts of the students. The program concluded with a formal vote of thanks by the School Head Boy, Monu Sharma.
