A grand “Self-Composed Poetry Symposium” was organized on the first day of Summer Camp 2026 on 19 May 2026 at D.A.V. Nandraj Public School under the Indian Language activity. The programme aimed to nurture creativity, self-confidence, communication skills, and stage presentation among students.
The event began with the sacred chanting of “Om,” creating a positive and vibrant atmosphere in the school premises. After this, students participated enthusiastically in a lively Zumba session to enhance physical fitness and energy. The highlight of the day was the poetry symposium, where young poets and poetesses from Classes 3 to 5 mesmerized the audience with their self-written poems.
The students beautifully expressed their thoughts and emotions through poems based on Indian languages, patriotism, nature, childhood, and moral values. Their confidence, creativity, expression, and command over language were highly appreciated by the audience and teachers alike. The programme provided students with a wonderful platform to showcase their literary talent and develop public speaking skills.
Speaking on the occasion, the Principal, Dr. Ravi Prakash Tiwary, praised the efforts and enthusiasm of the students. He stated that such activities play an important role in the holistic development of children and help in nurturing talent, discipline, creativity, and active participation. He also congratulated the teachers and participants for the successful organization of the programme and encouraged students to continue participating in such creative activities with dedication and confidence.
