Self-Defense Camp Begins at D.A.V. Nandraj Public School !

Today, on Thursday, September 26, 2024, a week-long self-defense camp was inaugurated at D.A.V. Nandraj Public School, Bariatu.

Renowned trainer Mr. Roopendra Arya from Delhi has come to lead the camp. This camp will run from September 26 to October 2, with 160 selected students from grades 8, 9, and 11 participating.

This is the first such camp in Jharkhand and Bihar where self-defense training is being provided.

The program was inaugurated by the chief guest, Mr. Vinay Kumar, District Education Officer of Ranchi. The event commenced with a sacred fire ceremony (havan), flag hoisting, and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest.

In his address, the chief guest remarked that education in the past was prosperous, with no one being idle, and everyone empowered.

He emphasized that one’s actions and habits shape their character and mentioned the illustrious history of India.

He reminded the students that they are descendants of great warriors like Banda Bairagi, Shivaji, and Rani Lakshmibai.

Present at the event were school management members including Mr. Prem Prakash Arya, Mr. Rajendra Arya, Mr. Ajay Arya, and Mr. Sanjay Poddar.

The principal, Dr. Ravi Prakash Tiwary, introduced the camp in detail, stating that such training not only strengthens students physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally, but also enables them to safeguard themselves and society.

After the inauguration, the training for the students began, where they were taught the use of dumbbells, spears, sticks, and leziums. Subsequently, all the guests guided the participants with their valuable words of wisdom. The inaugural event concluded with the national anthem.
