Kargil Vijay Diwas was celebrated in the campus of DAV Nandraj Public School to honour the heroes of Kargil. The aim was to commemorate the victory of Operation Vijay and to make children aware of the sacrifices of the war heroes. Inter House Poster Making and Singing Competition was organised on the occasion. They made beautiful posters that reflected their love for the nation.
Tamanna Ansari of Vivekanand House bagged the first prize while Nidhi Rajput of Vivekanand House and Shiza Firdaus of Aurobindo House got the second and the third prize respectively in the Inter House Poster Making Competition.
In Singing Competition Anugya won the hearts of all with her beautiful rendition and thus was placed at the first position. She was closely followed by Tanisha Kumari of Aurobindo House who was placed at the second position. Saksham Kumar of Vivekanand House got the third place. The efforts of these young students were duly praised by all the faculties.
The Principal, Mr. Ravi Prakash Tiwary said that activities as such make students aware of the life of a soldier and instill the values of patriotism in the young generation.
