International Kathak Performer Pallavi Dey Performs at DAV Nandraj Public School under SPIC MACAY
Ranchi, August 26 – DAV Nandraj Public School, Bariatu, hosted an enchanting Kathak recital by internationally acclaimed Indian dancer and Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar awardee, Mrs. Pallavi Dey from Kolkata, under the banner of SPIC MACAY.
The program commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony by chief guests Mr. Sunil Gupta and Mr. Ajay Arya (Members, Arya Gyan Prachar Samiti), Mrs. Pallavi Dey, Mr. Siddharth Tripathi (Principal Chief Conservator of Forests), and Mr. S. Mohan Sharma (SPIC MACAY Coordinator).
Mrs. Dey not only performed Kathak and Kali dance forms but also introduced students to the nine classical dance traditions of India, highlighting their roots in devotion and spirituality.
Addressing the audience, Mr. Sunil Gupta emphasized the vision of SPIC MACAY in promoting Indian culture and heritage among youth, while Mr. Tripathi inspired students by stating that “Selfless action is the key to success, and true education must blend character, health, society, and formal learning.”
School Principal Dr. Raviprakash Tiwari praised SPIC MACAY as an international movement bringing the glory of Indian art forms to the younger generation, contributing significantly to their holistic development.
The mesmerizing performance concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Ajay Arya, who appreciated the unforgettable cultural experience.
