Bariatu: On the occasion of National Sports Day, the much awaited Inter House Football Tournament was finally conducted in the campus of DAV Nandraj Public School, Bariatu. All four houses sent their best players to represent them in the football tournament. The tournament was inaugurated with the blessings of the school Principal, Mr. Ravi Prakash Tiwari. The first match was played between Vivekanand and Shraddhanand House. There was an air of excitement and enthusiasm among the players and the team supporters. Shraddhanand House won the semi finals with 1-0 and thus went to the final round. The second match was conducted between Dayanand House and Aurobindo House in which the defence of Dayanand House and the winning passion of Aurobindo was much appreciated. Aurobindo house emerged as the winner of this match beating Dayanand House with 1-0.
Before the final match, a friendly match of girls between Aurobindo House and Vivekanand House was played where the sports spirit of girls were highly appreciated by the present spectators. The match was won by 2-1 by Aurobindo House.
The final match between Shraddhanand House and Aurobindo House once again began with fierce clash. With goal-making free-kicks, daring penetrations through the defence and precise passing, the finalists left the spectators awe-stricken. Both the teams employed creative strategies which allowed neither of the teams to score or concede a goal. The accurate shooters of the Aurobindo House led their house to a fantastic victory with the scoreboard showing 3-1. During the tournament, the unending hard work and the tremendous efforts put by the sport teachers of the school were eloquently visible in the players’ skills. The winning team members were congratulated by the Principal, Vice Principal, House Master and present teachers.
