Hindi Day is celebrated in India on 14th September annually to commemorate the date when it was declared as India’s official language under the constitution. Hindi is a major language of India and is globally used by 600 million people.
The day is observed to promote the value of linguistic diversity of India and focus on preserving and advancing India’s linguistic heritage. The Department of Personal, Administrative Reforms and Rajbhasha, Jharkhand has organised various literary competitions on the occasion.
The students of DAV Nandraj Public School actively participated in these competitions. Dharmesh Oraon of Class 9 bagged 2nd Prize in Short Story Writing Competition. He was bestowed with cash prize of three thousand rupees for his exemplary performance by the dignitaries. The Principal, Mr. Ravi Prakash Tiwary, congratulated him for this feat.
