DAV Nandraj Public School stands as a centre of education, values, culture, service, and modern learning.
His Excellency the Governor of Jharkhand, Shri Santosh Kumar Gangwar, graced the Achievers’ Night celebration of DAV Nandraj Public School, Bariatu, on Thursday, 20th November 2025, and inaugurated the newly constructed Ankur Lab.
This special evening honoured the students who brought laurels to the school, their families, and the state by excelling at various international, national, state, and city-level competitions throughout the year.
The Chief Guest, His Excellency the Governor, was accompanied by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sanjay Kumar Dwivedi, Jharkhand High Court, Ranchi, as the Guest of Honour.

Event Highlights
Visit to Senior Citizen Home
The Governor began his visit by interacting with the residents of the Senior Citizen Home located on the school campus. He honoured 50 senior citizens by presenting them shawls. Members of Arya Gyan Prachar Samiti extended a warm welcome, and the Governor appreciated the humanitarian initiatives carried out there.
Inauguration of Ankur Workshop
His Excellency then inaugurated the Ankur Workshop, where nursery children welcomed him with the chanting of the Gayatri Mantra. The Governor praised the thoughtful concept behind the initiative.
Havan Ceremony and Tree Plantation
At the Yagyashala, the Governor and Hon’ble Justice Dwivedi participated in a Vedic havan, praying for the progress of the nation and the state. This was followed by a tree plantation ceremony, reaffirming commitment to environmental responsibility.
Lamp Lighting & Felicitation of Achievers
Upon reaching the main stage, both dignitaries lit the ceremonial lamp. The Principal, Dr. Ravi Prakash Tiwary, extended a warm welcome to all distinguished guests.
Awards, medals, and certificates were presented to the achievers by the Governor and Hon’ble Justice.
In his address, Justice Sanjay Kumar Dwivedi advised students that hard work, continuous learning, alertness, and control over the mind are the keys to success.
His Excellency the Governor praised the school, calling it a true centre of values and education. He highlighted that facilities like the Yagyashala and Ankur Lab are rare and highly commendable. He also appreciated the notable social contributions of Arya Gyan Prachar Samiti.
Cultural Performances
The evening concluded with captivating cultural performances, including Mask Melody, Chhau Dance, Dandiya, and soulful musical presentations that enthralled the audience.
