Maharshi Dayanand was the pioneer who first raised the call for freedom and inspired movements like the Salt Satyagraha. — Dr. Ravi Prakash Tiwary On Thursday, 12th February 2026, DAV Nandraj Public School, Bariatu celebrated the birth anniversary of Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati, the great pioneer of India’s renaissance, with great enthusiasm and reverence.

In the morning, the students of Class VI performed a Havan Yajna along with their class teachers. The entire morning assembly was dedicated to the life and teachings of Maharshi Dayanand. Aryama of Class III-C and Abhishree of Class II-B presented devotional bhajans. Arya of Class VIII-C and Aysha Khan of Class VIII-A delivered speeches highlighting his contributions and ideals.

On this occasion, the Principal, Dr. Ravi Prakash Tiwary, said that Maharshi Dayanand was the leading figure of modern India’s awakening. He was among the first to awaken society about freedom, women’s education, and social reforms.

Many later reformers drew inspiration from him and carried his mission forward. However, much of the credit for his pioneering efforts has been given to others. Today, there is a need to reassess and recognize his true contributions.

He further stated that Maharshi Dayanand’s vision was broad and progressive. While he strongly supported Hindi as the national language, he also emphasized that learning English was equally important for progress. His ideas provide the best path for humanity, and it is essential that we incorporate his teachings into our lives.

“Back to the Vedas” was the powerful slogan given by Maharshi Dayanand. Out of the ten principles of Arya Samaj, seven are such that no one in the world can reasonably refute them. Therefore, we must strive to follow the path shown by him.
