The Bal Vatika section of DAV Nandraj Public School came alive with joy, enthusiasm, and colourful celebrations as the three-day Summer Camp commenced with great excitement on its first day. The inaugural day witnessed active participation from tiny tots as well as their parents, creating a vibrant and cheerful atmosphere throughout the campus.

The camp began on a spiritual note with Vedic chanting and a sacred havan, in which the young students enthusiastically participated. The ritual filled the surroundings with positivity and serenity, marking an auspicious beginning to the camp. Following the havan, the children engaged in several entertaining and creative activities specially designed to make learning enjoyable and interactive.

Dressed in bright and colourful casual outfits, the little children looked energetic and delighted as they participated in free play sessions, group games, and fun-based learning activities. Parents were also actively involved in various activities, making the event more engaging and strengthening the bond between the school and families.

A number of exciting activities including clay modelling, fireless cooking-cum-treasure hunt, and Little Star Cinema were introduced on the first day. These activities aimed at nurturing creativity, confidence, teamwork, participation, and joyful learning among children while providing them with opportunities to explore and express themselves freely.

The Principal of the school, Dr. Ravi Prakash Tiwary, expressed happiness over the successful beginning of the Summer Camp and appreciated the enthusiastic involvement of both students and parents. He stated that the school believes education is not limited to reading and memorising textbooks but should focus on “Learning Beyond the Books.” He further emphasized that such activities help in the holistic development of children by promoting creativity, cooperation, confidence, and social values.

He added that through such innovative initiatives, the school is effectively implementing the vision of the National Education Policy 2020 and the guidelines of Central Board of Secondary Education, where the philosophy of “learning by doing” is encouraged in a meaningful and joyful manner.
