DAV Nandraj Public School Celebrates Jal Pakhwada with Enthusiasm and Awareness !

In accordance with the guidelines of CBSE, DAV Nandraj Public School observed Jal Pakhwada from 16th April to 30th April 2026 as part of the Jal Shakti Abhiyan, aiming to promote water conservation and rainwater harvesting among students.

The programme began with the Jal Shapath (Water Pledge), which was administered during the morning assembly, encouraging students to use water responsibly and contribute towards its conservation. Throughout the fortnight, a series of engaging and educational activities were conducted to spread awareness about the importance of saving water.

Various creative competitions such as poster-making, painting, slogan writing, and essay writing were organized, allowing students to express their ideas on the theme “Save Water, Save Life.” Students also delivered speeches and participated in poem recitations highlighting the urgent need for water conservation.

Educational workshops were conducted to sensitize students about water scarcity, the importance of rainwater harvesting, and sustainable practices. Students were also encouraged to take action-oriented steps such as checking water wastage within the school premises and promoting water-saving habits in their daily lives.

As part of community outreach, awareness campaigns were carried out to spread the message of water conservation beyond the school campus.

A special highlight of the celebration was a small skit presented by the Bal Vatika students, focusing on preserving nature and protecting our Earth. The performance was highly appreciated and conveyed a strong message about environmental responsibility.

The Jal Pakhwada celebration concluded successfully, leaving a deep impact on students and motivating them to become responsible citizens committed to conserving water and protecting the environment.
