DAV Nandraj Public School, Bariatu celebrated the 77th Republic Day with great enthusiasm, pride, and patriotic fervour. The programme commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag jointly by Shri Shatrughan Lal Gupta, President of Arya Gyan Prachar Samiti, and Shri Prem Prakash Arya, President, School Managing Committee.
The occasion was graced by the presence of Smt. Sushila Gupta, Life Patron of Arya Samaj Ranchi; Dr. Vachaspati Kulwant, former Assistant Director of DAV Public Schools; Shri Punit Poddar, Secretary of the School Managing Committee; Shri Rajendra Arya, President of Arya Samaj Mandir Ranchi; Shri Ajay Arya, Member, School Managing Committee; Shri Diwakar Dev; Dr. Arvind Kumar Agrawal; Smt. Usha; Smt. Kajal, along with a large number of parents and students.
After the flag hoisting ceremony, the NCC cadets of the school and student representatives from all four houses presented an impressive and energetic march past, reflecting discipline, unity, and patriotic spirit. The guests and parents motivated the students with loud applause.
The cultural programme that followed was vibrant and captivating. The performances by the Bal Vatika students were especially delightful and heart-warming. The school’s musical presentation, traditional Nagpuri dance, and the concluding mixed dance performance received thunderous applause from the audience.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest, Shri Prem Prakash Arya, said that this Republic Day was special in many ways. He highlighted the uniqueness of the date—26 January 2026—and stated that such a rare combination of date, day, and year would not occur again. He congratulated everyone on the occasion and urged all to take meaningful resolutions. He spoke about the continuous progress of the school and emphasized the importance of Bal Vatika, where children learn through the “learning by doing” approach.
He also shared future plans, including a special sports complex for girls, training in fashion designing, installation of an elevator, and the introduction of four-hour classes for Class XI from the next academic session. He highlighted the school’s focus on character building and informed that nursery students are learning the Gayatri Mantra. He appealed to parents to pledge spending quality time with their children without mobile phones and to actively contribute to building a skilled nation.
Dr. Vachaspati Kulwant, in his address, encouraged the students by stating that they possess strength, intelligence, and skills, and can achieve great heights for themselves and for the nation. He motivated them to strive to become the best version of themselves.
On this occasion, students who excelled in various competitions such as the INSPIRE Award, SOF International General Knowledge Olympiad (Gold Medal), Frog Race, Snake and Jump Race, and other events were felicitated.
In the concluding address, the Principal, Dr. Ravi Prakash Tiwary, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the dignitaries, parents, teachers, and non-teaching staff for their cooperation and support.
He shared that several new initiatives planned for 2026 would be implemented from April, including a mega sports complex for girls, the Ankur Laboratory for pre-primary students, and the introduction of new subjects for Classes XI and XII to better prepare students for future challenges. He sought continued support from parents in nurturing and strengthening these initiatives.
The programme concluded with the singing of the National Song, leaving everyone with a deep sense of patriotism and pride.
