Sanjeev Roop, Uttar Pradesh

Today, on 12 January 2026, a two-day Vedic Workshop was inaugurated at D.A.V. Nandraj Public School, Bariyatu. The workshop began with a Havan Yajna, marking an auspicious start. About 400 students and 50 teachers participated in the workshop.

The programme was graced by the presence of many eminent personalities, including Shri Shatrughan Lal Gupta, President, Arya Gyan Prachar Samiti, Ranchi; Smt. Sushila Gupta, Lifetime Patron, Arya Samaj Mandir, Ranchi; Shri Prem Prakash Arya, President, School Managing Committee; Shri Punit Poddar, Secretary, School Managing Committee; Shri Rajendra Arya, President, Arya Samaj Ranchi; Shri Ajay Arya, Member, School Managing Committee; Shri Sanjay Poddar, Member, School Managing Committee; Shri Sunil Gupta, Member, School Managing Committee; Shri Mukesh from Kailash Printing Press, and several other distinguished guests.

The workshop is being conducted by internationally renowned scholar Acharya Sanjeev Roop, who has arrived from Uttar Pradesh as the chief preacher. After the Yajna, while addressing the gathering and welcoming the guests, Dr. Ravi Prakash Tiwary stated that the day is observed as National Youth Day, marking the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

He recalled Swami Vivekananda’s inspiring message, “Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is achieved.” He added that with the same spirit, and with the objective of infusing moral values into education, such workshops are regularly organized.

This year, the workshop is being conducted entirely through digital methods, making it more engaging for students. Participants will receive questions online by scanning a QR code, submitting their responses, and winning prizes.

In his discourse, Acharya Sanjeev Roop emphasized that idols and photographs remind us of the character we should strive to build. He said that we should learn from great personalities such as Lal Bahadur Shastri, Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati, and Swami Vivekananda, and display their photographs as they represent our ideals. He also addressed the teachers of the school and delivered a strong message on honesty.

He stressed that honesty should be practiced within oneself, among children, between husband and wife, and in professional duties. A child brought up on honest earnings, he said, will never become dishonest. Morality must not only exist in life but should also be reflected in one’s conduct; only then can a person truly be called moral.
