Cyber Peace Yatra Conducted at D.A.V. Nandraj Public School, Bariatu, Ranchi to Promote Online Safety
Ranchi, 8th December 2025 — The Cyber Peace Yatra, a special cyber security awareness programme, was conducted at the school auditorium, Goonj, of D.A.V. Nandraj Public School, Bariatu, Ranchi. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and staff.
The programme began with a warm welcome to the dignitaries, marked by a melodious performance by the school band “Waves” and the traditional lighting of the lamp, creating an inspiring atmosphere for the session.
The workshop was led by Major Vineet Kumar, Global President of the Cyber Peace Foundation. In his insightful address, he shared essential guidance on cyber safety, responsible online behaviour, and the growing importance of cyber peace. He highlighted practical measures on:
Reporting and blocking online harassment
Conducting secure online transactions
Identifying and avoiding digital scams
Monitoring bank accounts safely
Verifying information to prevent misinformation
During the session, students asked several thoughtful questions, which were wisely and clearly answered by the resource person, making the workshop more meaningful and enlightening.
A special highlight of the event was a podcast conducted by Kritty Ranjana, where she interviewed Major Vineet Kumar about his inspiring journey—from serving as an Army officer to becoming a national icon in the field of cyber security. His responses motivated and inspired the audience.
Principal Dr. Ravi Prakash Tiwary expressed his appreciation for the workshop and emphasized that war is not fought only at the borders; many battles today occur within the digital world, where individuals must remain vigilant to protect themselves from invisible dangers. He added, “We must always keep ourselves safe and continue fighting for peace, both inside and outside.”
The event was graced by Dr. Sanjay Jain and Mr. Ajay Arya, Member of the School Managing Committee, whose presence added significance to the occasion.
Organized by JITO Ranchi Ladies Wing, the programme also saw the presence of Priyanka Jain, Diginari National Convener, along with representatives from JITO Ranchi Chapter, Youth Wing, and Ladies Wing—including Vishal Jain (Chairman), Sarvesh Jain (Chief Secretary), Arpit Jain (Treasurer), and others.
The session concluded with an engaging Q&A, empowering students with essential knowledge on cybercrime prevention and responsible digital practices. The Cyber Peace Yatra proved to be an impactful and enlightening initiative, encouraging students to navigate the digital world with awareness, confidence, and responsibility.
