Ranchi: D.A.V. Nandraj Public School, Bariatu, celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great fervour and pride. The tricolour was ceremoniously unfurled by Shri Brij Kishore Ji (Old Age Home), Shri Prem Prakash Arya (Secretary, Arya Gyan Prachar Samiti), Shri Punit Poddar (Secretary, School Management), Shri Rajendra Arya (President ,Arya Samaj, Ranchi), Shri L.R. Shaini (Member, Arya Gyan Prachar Samiti), Shri Sanjay Poddar with his spouse, Principal Dr. Ravi Prakash Tiwari, and Vice Principal Mrs. Roma Biswas. Teachers, students, and parents joined together to sing the national anthem, honouring the spirit of the nation.
The celebrations opened with soul-stirring patriotic songs and dances by students, followed by the school’s vibrant Lezim troupe and a disciplined march-past by NCC cadets, which drew loud applause. Round Table Foundation India Chairperson Mrs. Rinki Jain presented sports equipment to the school.
In his address, Principal Dr. Tiwari inspired students with stories of freedom fighters’ sacrifices, urging them to contribute to nation-building. Referring to the Pahalgam attack, he said, “Operation Sindoor will not end until terrorism and its roots are eradicated.”
The chief guest lauded the energy and discipline of the students, calling them the nation’s true future, and stressed the role of education in leading India towards greater heights.
The entire campus was bathed in the colours of patriotism, with the pride of the tricolour, spirited performances, and faces glowing with the joy of freedom — making the day truly unforgettable.
