D.A.V. Nandraj Public School celebrated the auspicious festival of Raksha Bandhan with great enthusiasm and emotional warmth. The tiny tots of Bal Vatika tied Rakhis to teachers and staff, spreading a beautiful message of love, respect, and friendship throughout the campus.
As part of a special initiative, the students also visited Manoj Kumar, Officer-in-Charge of Bariatu Police Station, and tied Rakhi to him at his office, expressing heartfelt gratitude to the police force for their tireless service and protection.
To show their love for nature, children tied Rakhis to a mango tree on the school campus, symbolizing their bond with the environment and a commitment to preserve it. They also tied Rakhis to the NCC cadets, recognizing their discipline, responsibility, and service.
A heart-touching moment came when the handmade Rakhis prepared by the students were sent to the brave soldiers of Kargil, as a mark of respect and national pride. This initiative instilled in the students a deep sense of patriotism and social responsibility.
The event was graced by Shri Prem Prakash Arya, Chairman of the School Managing Committee, who joined the children in Rakhi-making and shared his warmth and affection. He conveyed that festivals like these are not just traditions but bridges that connect hearts and build unity.
The Principal also appreciated the students and said that such festivals nurture core values like love, unity, environmental sensitivity, and patriotism. He lauded the efforts made by students in reaching out to soldiers, police officers, and the community with such meaningful gestures.
To add to the festivities, a Rakhi-Making Competition was held for students of Classes III to V, where students exhibited remarkable creativity.
