DAV Nandraj Public School Bids a Heartfelt Farewell to Two Esteemed Educators — Sets a Remarkable Example by Granting Gratuity on the Day of Retirement
On July 31, 2025, DAV Nandraj Public School, Bariatu, hosted an emotional farewell ceremony for two of its most dedicated educators — Mrs. Vidyawati Trivedi (Science Department) and Vice Principal Mrs. Roma Biswas — both of whom have devoted 25 years of selfless service to the institution.
What made the occasion truly historic was that the gratuity was disbursed on the same day of retirement — a remarkable innovation rarely seen in educational institutions. While many employees often wait for weeks or months, DAV Nandraj set a strong precedent in staff welfare and timely recognition.
Mrs. Roma Biswas’s tenure has also been extended, reflecting the leadership’s trust in her continued contribution.
The farewell was graced by School Head Mr. Prem Prakash Arya, Arya Samaj Secretary Mr. Ajay Arya, Principal Dr. Ravi Prakash Tiwary, and the entire staff.
Mr. Arya stated, “Teachers are the soul of an institution. You have been with us since the very beginning, and we stand with you always.”
Mr. Ajay Arya remarked, “The value of a teacher is immeasurable — just like a mother. 25 years of service is not just time, it’s an era.”
Dr. Tiwary added, “Granting gratuity on the same day is not a formality — it is a forward-thinking act. This is not just a farewell, but the beginning of a new tradition.”
Mrs. Trivedi emotionally shared, “When I joined, I was alone. Today, I feel surrounded by a family. My principle has always been simple — when at school, think only of school; when at home, think only of home.”
The Music Department added to the atmosphere with a touching performance, making the moment even more memorable.
This event was not just a farewell — it was the celebration of a journey and the start of an inspiring institutional innovation
