The two-day Continuous Professional Development Programme on Strengthening Assessment and Evaluation Practices successfully concluded today at DAV Nandraj Public School. The training witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 64 teachers from various schools.
On Day 2, the sessions built upon the foundations laid on the first day, with a deeper exploration of practical strategies and tools for designing effective assessments.
Resource persons Dr. Captain Sumit Kaur and Mrs. Mamta Kumari engaged the participants in interactive activities, discussions, and case studies that emphasized the shift from rote learning towards competency-based and formative assessment methods, as envisioned by the New Education Policy (NEP 2020).
The programme also provided teachers with opportunities to share classroom experiences and reflect on challenges faced in implementing fair, transparent, and comprehensive evaluation practices.
In his closing remarks, Dr. Ravi Prakash Tiwari, Principal, DAV Nandraj Public School, thanked the resource persons and all participating teachers. He reiterated the importance of lifelong learning for educators to remain effective and relevant in today’s dynamic educational landscape.
