The second day of the CBSE Capacity Building Programme, organized by the CBSE COE Patna, was hosted at D.A.V. Nandraj Public School, focusing on the pivotal topic of “Competency Based Assessment (Secondary Level).”

The session was led by resource persons, Mr. Prasenjit Hazra and Mrs. Tanushri Chakraborty, who shared their expertise on crafting effective assessment strategies.

The day’s discussions primarily revolved around designing questions that accurately measure student competencies at the secondary level. Mr. Hazra and Mrs.

Chakraborty provided in-depth guidance on creating questions that align with the curriculum and encourage students to apply their knowledge practically.

A significant portion of the session was dedicated to the development of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), emphasizing the importance of crafting age-appropriate, challenging questions that promote critical thinking.

Teachers were given practical assignments to prepare their own sets of questions, specifically tailored to the age groups they teach.

The session concluded with remarks from the Principal, Dr. Ravi Prakash Tiwary, who expressed his appreciation for the insightful and comprehensive approach of the resource persons.
