On 10th August 2024, D.A.V. Nandraj Public School hosted a heartwarming Grandparents’ Day celebration, organized by the students of Bal Vatika.
The event was a joyous occasion, filled with love and appreciation for the elderly members of the students’ families.
The celebration was graced by the esteemed presence of the Chief Guests, Mr. Piyush Pandey IPS, SP, JAP 10, Ranchi, and Mrs. Nidhi Dwivedi IPS, SP, CID Ranchi. Both guests commended the school for organizing such a meaningful event.
Mr. Pandey praised the students for their enthusiasm and creativity, stating, “This celebration is a wonderful way to show respect and gratitude to our elders, who have shaped our lives in countless ways.” Mrs. Dwivedi echoed his sentiments, adding, “It’s heartening to see the bond between the generations being celebrated in such a vibrant and loving manner.”
To make the day even more special, a free healthcare camp was organized for the grandparents in collaboration with Pulse Hospital, Ranchi. This thoughtful initiative ensured that the elderly attendees received the care and attention they deserve.
The event featured a variety of cultural activities, including dance, drama, music, and games, all aimed at entertaining and engaging the grandparents. The children began the celebration by warmly welcoming their grandparents, putting tilak on their foreheads as a gesture of respect and affection.
In a touching moment, several grandparents took the stage to share their views and experiences, adding a personal and heartfelt touch to the event.
Principal Dr. Ravi Prakash Tiwary expressed his deep appreciation for the efforts of the students and staff, commending the initiative as a beautiful way to honor and cherish the grandparents who play such an important role in their families’ lives. The event was a resounding success, leaving everyone with memories to cherish for years to come.
